Project Description

CBBEL developed a Watershed Management Plan for the White Lick Creek Watershed.

The White Lick Creek project area includes (4) 14-digit watersheds located primarily in Morgan County, Indiana with portions extending into Hendricks and Marion Counties.  These 4 sub-basin drain approximately 28,234 acres consisting of both rural and urban land uses.  There are approximately 67 miles of natural and constructed waterways in the White Lick Creek watershed that eventually drain into the White River near Centerton, Indiana.

Scope of Engineering & Professional Services

CBBEL provided watershed coordination services necessary for the development of White Lick Creek Watershed Management Plan.

During the planning process, CBBEL collected monthly chemical data from White Lick Creek and its tributaries, facilitated quarterly Steering Committee meetings, facilitated four public in-put meetings, and conducted presentations on the project at a total of ten civic group meetings throughout the project area.  CBBEL ultimately developed a watershed management plan that meets the 2003 IDEM Watershed Management Plan Checklist.
