The Hamilton County Surveyor’s Office and the City of Carmel invited the public to participate in a meeting to discuss stormwater management issues in the Williams Creek Watershed. On May 21st, 2009, a public meeting was held at 7:00 PM in Andrews Hall at University High School, 2825 West 116th Street, Carmel, IN. 46032.

On August 25, 2008, the Hamilton County Drainage Board entered into a contract with Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd (CBBEL), a local engineering and environmental firm, to identify problems along the stream and stormwater pollution reduction strategies in the Williams Creek Watershed. According to Hamilton County Surveyor Kenton C. Ward, “local input is needed in order to help us develop the watershed management plan, we would like feedback from the community on key issues identified in the original Williams Creek Study plan as well as additional concerns that may not have been identified.” Key areas of interest include:
Hamilton County believes that the residents of the Williams Creek Watershed play a critical role in improving water quality in the watershed and that public input is vital in developing a watershed management plan.
