The core of Citizens Energy Group's long-term control plan is a new tunnel system that, when in place, will divert 3.5 billion gallons of sewage from local waterways.
The White River collection consolidation sewer is part of that system and will connect three combined sewer overflows to the White River and Fall Creek tunnel systems.
Burke engineers performed round-the-clock construction inspection to maintain the fast-track schedule. Taking place within two project areas along Waterway Boulevard and Indiana Avenue, the accelerated schedule resulted in minimal disruption to the developer’s existing construction schedule and also resulted in an overall cost savings of nearly $1M.
